Blake B. Clark was called back to his heavenly home in the early morning of January 17th, 2025, surrounded by his family in Paradise Utah. Blake fought valiantly against stage 4 colon cancer for 2 years.
Blake was born December 21st 1968, to Brent and Lujean Clark in Rexburg Idaho. Blake was the second youngest out of 6 children.
Blake spent most of his teenage years outdoors, exploring the Teton River with his dog Jake. Blake’s love for the outdoors helped him develop many skills; he was an avid trapper, fisherman, hunter and outdoorsmen. After graduating highschool from Sugar-Salem High School, he served a 2-year LDS mission in Arcadia, California. Once Blake returned home he attended Ricks College in Rexburg Idaho. He pursued an education in the field he loved and studied outdoor rec and outdoor education. During which he met his eternal partner Kimberly Wodskow.
After completing their education, both Kimberly and Blake graduated from Ricks college, and Blake deciding he wanted to continue his education at Utah State University. Blake got his Bachelor's degree in Outdoor Education. With his outdoor experience and education, Blake and his family spent three summers in West Fork Montana where he led other outdoor lovers as a fly fishing guide. Once their second born, Bridger, came along they moved back to Utah where Blake was heavily involved in scout camps and the Boy Scouts of America Program. Eventually settling down in Paradise Utah in 2010.
Blake then spent 2 years working for Sportsman's Paradise, raising game birds, and guiding hunting and fishing tours. His passion for teaching led him to end up at Utah State University directing the 4H extension programs. Blake retired at the end of August 2024 happy with his life accomplishments.
Blake was a busy man building anything his kids were interested in. He had a strong appreciation for art, sculpting, painting, woodwork and craftsmanship. Blake always wanted to learn new things and was a self taught artist. His paintings reside in many homes of his loved ones and friends. You could always find Blake with fresh paint on his shirt and wood shavings in his pockets. There was never a project too big for Blake to handle. Blake had an appreciation and love for animals, and spent much of his time training bird dogs. You would always get a warm welcome from at least 6 dogs at the Clark family home. Blake’s interests and hobbies trickled down through his children, who appreciate the fine art of fly fishing, painting, photography and shooting sports.
Blake is survived by his wife, Kimberly Clark, his 5 children and spouses: Sawyer & Makenna Clark, Bridger & Abbey Clark, Colter & Janelle Clark, Autumn Clark Pixton & Coby Pixton, and Conner Clark. His loving grandchildren: Canyon Blake Clark & Sutton Sawyer Clark. And his parents and siblings: Brent B. Clark & Lujean Howard, Treena Sharp, Wendy Williams, Crystal Rawson, Roddy Clark and Todd Clark.
Blake had a deep love for his family and spent as much time as he could teaching and bonding over any interests that his children had. He was always serving people in the community any way he could think of. Whether that be building wood benches or fixing barn doors, he was happy to serve. Blake will be dearly missed by his community.
