Carter John Hansen, known affectionately as "Carter Man," left this world on June 25, 2023, in Preston, Idaho. Although his time with us was far too short, Carter's impact on the lives he touched was immeasurable. Born on December 11, 2017, in the same town he bid farewell to, Carter filled the hearts of his family and friends with an abundance of love and joy.
From a young age, Carter embraced the simple pleasures in life. He had an insatiable curiosity and loved getting involved in whatever everyone else was doing. Whether it was cooking and baking or embarking on fishing trips, Carter was a willing participant who reveled in every moment. However, true to his unique spirit, he disliked touching the fish he caught.
Carter's education journey began early as he fearlessly took on the adventures of preschool. He recently celebrated his graduation from his second year of pre-school—a proud accomplishment for such a young soul. It was evident that Carter possessed a thirst for knowledge and an excitement for learning.
His personality embodied all that is pure and innocent. Silly and soft-spoken, Carter had a heart overflowing with kindness and generosity. With boundless imagination, he transformed into his favorite superhero: Spiderman. It seemed as though he could shoot spiderwebs just like his idol! But amidst the playful antics, Carter also possessed a mischievous side that added to his charm.
In his free time, Carter indulged in various hobbies and interests that brought him immense joy. He adored Spiderman, Buzz Lightyear, and Woody. Riding his Stryder bike and scooters at nanas were activities that lit up his face with exhilaration. Playing with his faithful companion Jax brought him endless delight. Carter also found solace in losing himself in the pages of his favorite books. He possessed a green thumb and took great pleasure in planting plants in his nana's garden, watching them grow and flourish. Carter also delighted in Grandma Gail's famous pancakes.
Tragically, Carter's vibrant and promising life was cut short by a motor vehicle accident. It is some comfort to know that he passed away peacefully on the scene, eternally frozen in innocence and joy. As we bid him farewell, we must hold on to the memories of Carter's beautiful soul and cherish the time we had with him.
In Heaven, Carter is now reunited with those who have gone before him. He is embraced by his cousin Beckham Lewis Hansen, Papa Kurtis, Uncles Jon Roley, and Levi Pitcher, as well as his Great Grandma Bonnie, Great Uncle Bob, and his Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Munson, and Great Grandad Guenole. Their spirits will watch over him in eternity as he continues to bring smiles to their faces.
Carter leaves behind a loving family who adored him beyond words. His mother, Jessica Munson Hansen, his father Joshua Jason Hansen, and his four siblings—Landon Kurtis, Allie Mae, Hunter James, and Ember Rose—will forever cherish the precious moments they shared with him. Additionally, numerous extended family members and friends join them in grieving the loss of this incredible young soul.
As we mourn the loss of Carter John Hansen from our midst, let us remember the light he brought into our lives. The laughter he evoked and the love he shared will forever echo through our hearts. While we may not comprehend why such a radiant soul was called back so soon, let us find solace in knowing that Carter Man lived a life filled with love, wonderment, and countless cherished memories.
We will miss you dearly until we meet again in the embrace of eternity. To Infinity and Beyond sweet Carter John Hansen.
