Charles Robert Findlay passed away on August 8, 2023, in North Logan, Utah, just a few days shy of his 63rd birthday. Born on August 24, 1960, in Mount Pleasant, Utah, Charles was the eighth and youngest child of Ross P. and Linnie M. Findlay. He grew up in Ephraim, Utah, where he attended local schools, became an Eagle Scout, and developed a life-long love of learning. He faithfully served a church mission in Oakland, California.
While attending Snow College, Charles developed his talents in the areas of theater production and lighting. After graduating from Snow, he moved to Logan where he attended Utah State University, earning a Bachelor’s in communications and a Master’s degree in instructional technology. This led to a career focused on video production, editing, and IT systems.
On April 6, 1989, Charles married Penny Hansen in the Logan LDS Temple. Their marriage was a model of love and devotion to one another, and together they literally accomplished miracles as they overcame every adversity.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John Michael and Kimball Ross Findlay. He is survived by his spouse of 34 years, Penny Hansen Findlay, and siblings Richard Bruce, Roslyn, Donald James, Kathleen, and Scott William Findlay.
