Our beautiful, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, and mentor passed away on the morning of July 19th at her home in Providence, Utah at the age of 92 years old.
Colleen was the 6th child born of 7 children to George Speth Jr. and Emma Housley Nuttall in Young Ward, Utah on November 6th, 1930.
Colleen Graduated from South Cache High School. She was in the Com Moda singing group. She loved music. She also played the clarinet in the band.
She met and married Kay Nard Obray in the Salt Lake Temple. They were later divorced. They had four children that Colleen raised by herself.
Colleen was a waitress at the Lofthouse Cafe for many, many years. She loved serving people.
Colleen was the chorister of the Cobblestone 1st ward at the time of her death. She had been the chorister in many wards throughout her life. She also served as the 2nd councilor in the Relief Society.
Colleen loved serving in the temple when she could. She loved Roses.
Colleen loved having her hair and her fingernails done, it brought her much happiness.
Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, Twin brothers Letho and Theron Speth, a sister Donna Seabrand, a sister Virginia Nopen, and a great-grandchild Jaidyn Obray. Colleen is survived by her children, Kathy Obray, Debra (Philip) Lund, William Gregory (Susan) Obray, and Tracy (Faith) Neuhold. Colleen is also survived by a sister, Emma Joy Crockett and a brother Andrew Morris Speth, as well as her 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the Providence City Cemetery, 925 River Heights Boulevard, River Heights, UT. A public viewing will be held prior to the graveside service from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at White Pine Funeral Services, 753 S 100 E, Logan, UT.
