Our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Friend was called home to greener pastures by his Heavenly Father on May 2, 2023 following a prolonged illness.
Curt Leslie Pinder was born to Craig and Phebe (Wood) Pinder on March 20, 1959 in Logan, UT. He was the 5th child but only son. He came home to 4 adoring older sisters.
Curt graduated from Sky View High School in 1977. He spent many years farming with his dad and working along side his brother in-laws. He eventually started working at Nucor Steel but kept farming as his life long calling. He especially loved teaching and working with his grandchildren. Curt believed farming is a family affair.
Curt met his sweetheart, Cheryl Ann Leatham, while working for Nucor. After a long courtship and many refusals, Cheryl agreed to marry Curt on March 26, 1994 in Young Ward, UT. They were sealed for time and all eternity a year later in the Logan, Utah Temple. For the last 29 years, they’ve worked together to build their empire here on earth. He undoubtedly hasn’t missed a step and is preparing Cheryl’s next home above. This marriage was a package deal for both parties resulting in a beautiful blended family of 1 daughter and 3 sons.
Curt and Cheryl resided in Young Ward, UT for the whole of their marriage but also recently became ranchers in Bancroft, Idaho. This was life long dream of Curt’s.
Curt loved his Savior, Jesus Christ, and emulated His example by how he served others ALWAYS and loved little children. He belonged to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he had a strong testimony and held many callings. Serving with the youth and children brought him great joy.
Curt will be remembered for his generosity and boundless energy. Cheryl said he was like “spit on a hot griddle.” He was always moving! He had so many ideas and was determined to accomplish them all.
Curt’s wife, children and grandchildren meant everything to him. He believes in eternal families and awaits a joyous reunion with those he has left behind.
Curt is survived by his wife Cheryl; children Brandi and Matt (Wypijewski) of Washington Terrace, UT, Nicholas and Camie Misrasi of Tremonton, UT, Cody of Nibley, UT, Hayden and Heather of Peyton, CO; His sisters Annette Ashliman, Janice (Richard) Zollinger, Kris (Wayne) Batty, Dixene (Kent) Souter; 11 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other loved extended family.
Curt was proceeded in death by his parents.
The family would like to thank the medical team at Intermountain Medical Center for their service and care during the heartbreaking days leading to Curt’s passing.
In lieu of flowers, Curt would have wanted you to spend time with your families creating memories.
