Deserai Ramona McGee

Deserai Ramona McGee, age 43, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 26th, 2024, at her home in Millville, Utah, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Desi bravely battled breast cancer, first in 2008 and was diagnosed again in 2020. Despite these health challenges, she faced each day with strength, grace, and an unwavering love for her family.

Desi was born on July 29, 1981, in Logan, Utah, to Gary and Donna Spillett. She graduated from Logan High School in 1999 and went on to study at Utah State University for a few semesters. In 2002, while working at Chili's Bar and Grill, she met the love of her life, Geoff McGee. They married in August of 2003 and spent 21 wonderful years together.

Desi was the proud mother of three handsome sons, Michael (18), William (14), and Donovan (9). Being a mother was her greatest joy, and she often remarked that from the moment Michael was born, she knew her true purpose in life. Desi was a devoted, kind, caring, and loving mother who sacrificed everything for her family. Her unwavering dedication and love were evident to everyone who knew her, and not a single day went by where her love and affections were in doubt.

Desi is preceded in death by her mother, Donna Spillett, her sister, Toni, and her brother, Tate. She is survived by her husband, Geoff McGee, her three sons, Michael, William, and Donovan, her father, Gary Spillett, her brother Cody, her brother Shane, her sister Traci, and her brother Morgan.

Desi was a bright light in the lives of those around her. She had a way of lighting up any room she entered and made the world a better place. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. at the Providence South Stake Center, 360 E 450 N Millville, Utah. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00-11:30 A.M. at the stake center. Deserai will be laid to rest in the Wellsville City Cemetery.
