Donna Mae Andreasen

April 7, 1937 — October 31, 2023

Donna Mae Maughan Andreasen 86, of Logan, passed away peacefully with family at her bedside Oct. 31, 2023, at Legacy House of Logan.  She was born Apr. 7, 1937, in Wellsville, Utah, the sixth child of Geddes Gunnell and Clara Boswell Maughan. She attended Floradell Elementary School, Wellsville Jr. High, and South Cache High in Hyrum. Donna was active in the Sparta Pep Club and school band with the opportunity to attend and perform in the Rose Festival in Portland, Oregon.
 
In 1956 she met Reid Andreasen of Elwood on a blind date.  They were later married on Apr. 26, 1956, in the Logan Utah Temple. They have lived in Millville and Logan.
 
Well-known throughout the Logan area, Donna served in the Cache County Recorder and Clerk’s office, at Utah State University Controller’s office, and as Millville’s Justice of the Peace.  She also operated her own anesthesia billing service. She was one that always wanted to be doing something.  She made lifetime memories and history books for each of her four children and her and Reid’s life together.  She was active in sports where she excelled as a pitcher in fast-pitch softball.  She was also an avid Utah Jazz and USU Aggie fan. Later in life, she found joy in art book pencil coloring.
 
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many capacities in Relief Society, and as an ordinance worker with Reid in the Logan, Utah Temple. They also served in the Arizona, Tucson Mission, and as Counselors in the Logan, Utah Williamsburg Branch.  Being musically talented, Donna served as a pianist and organist in several wards, also accompanying several others at special social events.
 
She is survived by her husband Reid, four children, Michael (LaRee), Syracuse, Shauna (Scott), Muirbrook, Mantua, Mark (Paula), Island Park, Idaho, Kelly (Leslie), Bella Vista, Arkansas.  11 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, and also a sister Sharon (Harvard) Heaton, Smithfield.
 
Special thanks are expressed to the memory unit staff at Legacy House of Logan, and especially the special efforts to assist with her care by Robert Chandler with Hospice, and others of the Community Nursing Services of Logan.  
 
A viewing for Donna will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at White Pine Funeral Services, 753 S 100 E, Logan, Utah.
 
Donna's funeral service will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023, at 12:00 noon at White Pine Funeral Services, 753 S 100 E Logan, Utah.  An additional viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the funeral home. The interment will be at the Millville Nibley Cemetery at 100 North 250 East Millville, UT.
