Esther Smith Schenk

It's with Heavy hearts that we share the news that Esther gained her Angel wings on Dec. 27, 2024.  She was born April 7, 1953, the youngest of 6 children born to Charles W and Lucy Petersen Smith.

As a young child she moved around Utah to accommodate her dad's construction job. They eventually settled in Cache valley where she met and married Gregory Schenk on May 4, 1970.

She and Greg had 4 children together, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  Esther and Greg drove commercial trucks many millions of miles over 30 years delivering everything from cars to chicken to happy customers.  She was proud to say she had visited all 50 states.

After she was able to retire, she and Greg took to the road with their pickup and trailer.  In their travels they always had friends and or family with them.  Esther's hobbies include crocheting, and her love of reading. She enjoyed camping throughout the years with horses, motorcycles & 4 wheelers but always with family.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Charles W and Lucy Petersen Smith, her brothers Roy, Stephen, and Cleve, 2 infant sisters and her son Lucas Schenk. She is survived by her husband Gregory Schenk in Richmond, UT.

Her children Angela (Sean) Marshall Smithfield, UT; Gregory JR (Shelia) Schenk Richmond, UT; Xanthe (Paul) Goodsell Clifton, ID; 10 Grand Kids and their Spouses; 15 Great grand children
