Frankie Cunningham

Frankie Viola Rasmussen Cunningham passed away on Tuesday afternoon, October 18, 2022, surrounded by her family, heaven gained an angel.  She was 86 at her passing.

Mom was born on February 17 1936; she was the only girl with three brothers, Vernon, Claude and Raymond. Her parents were Eugene and Vernetta Rasmussen of Salt Lake City Utah.

Mom grew up in Salt Lake City, near the avenues. She was taught to work hard, and worked at many different jobs, a housekeeper for the U of U hospital and sales clerk at retail stores. She was in the graduating class of 1953 at West High School, where she had many friends.

She married Leon Cunningham and they had five children, Michael, Kim, Ranee, Barbara, Randy and a step son Terry. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved decorating her house with nick-knacks and clocks. Her hobbies included, yard selling, bingo, crocheting, sewing and all types of family games. She was a very caring and giving person. But most of all she loved her children and ADORED her grandchildren and greats.

We will especially miss our mom's warm smiles and funny sayings and opening Christmas present from her at Christmas time. Everyone received a big bag of treasures and she didn't leave anyone out.

Mom was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and two daughters, Ranee Mcghie and Barbara Baum. She is survived by her children Michael, Kim, Randy and Terry many grandchildren, and greats.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Lindquist Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Rd, Layton Utah.  Graveside services will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, October 27, 2022 in the Oxford, Idaho Cemetery.
