Gary M. Aller

May 6, 1949 — March 15, 2024

Wellsville, Utah

Gary Martin Aller, (74), of Wellsville, UT passed away in a tragic car accident on March 15, 2024, on his way home from a golf trip in Nevada.

Gary was born on May 6, 1949, in Preston, Idaho. Gary had a memorable childhood. He helped run the family mink farm, played sports, got into some mischief with friends, but mostly ran around with his older brother, Jack. When he turned 19, he made the decision to serve an LDS mission in the Texas North Mission. After having several life changing experiences while serving, he returned to Franklin and decided to go to college. He began his college career at Utah State University, and after he met and married his forever sweetheart, Kathleen Hull. He then transferred and received his bachelor's degree in business management from Brigham Young University. After graduating, Gary accepted a job with ADP, which took him and Kathy to White Bear Lake, Minnesota. They stayed there for 4 years, and during that time welcomed two children, Jason, and Kristin. They were then transferred to Olathe, Kansas where they stayed and built a lovely life for the next 30 years. During that time, they welcomed 4 more children, Jared, David, Kyle, and Katelin.

In 2008, Gary and Kathy decided to leave Kansas to make new memories in Wellsville, Utah where they built their forever home. Gary stayed with ADP, until he retired in 2014. In 2015, his life and the lives of his children would be completely shattered when the love of his life, Kathy, passed away unexpectedly in an ATV accident. Gary would spend the rest of his life loving and longing to be reunited with her.

To find a new purpose after Kathy passed, Gary found solace in serving others, playing golf, traveling, having dinner parties, being with his family - both immediate and extended, serving in his church callings, and working in and attending the temple whenever he could.

Gary is survived by his 6 children, Jason, Kristin, Jared, David, Kyle, and Katelin. He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren, his 3 sisters, and 2 brothers. Gary was predeceased by his mother, Carol Stirland, wife, Kathy Hull Aller, and sister Cindy Mozingo.

Our dad, who had many names including husband, dad, grandpa, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, friend, and dinner party extraordinaire…was one of the greats. He had a contagious laugh, a bright smile, and he knew how to love. If he loved you, he would show up for you, go out of his way to meet or help you, tease you, watch a movie with you, play golf with you, harvest and share his garden vegetables with you, and most importantly…love you unconditionally. He had the biggest heart and was greatly loved by his family and friends. We will miss him but know that he is right where he has wanted to be for the past nine years. We love you, dad. Always and forever. Until we meet again.
