Grant LeRoy Rawlins

Grant LeRoy Rawlins, age 81, passed away on November 24th 2024 in the arms of his loving wife at his home in Paradise, UT. Grant was born in Paradise on June 5th, 1943 to his parents Wells Orgile Rawlins and Elizabeth McMurdie Rawlins. 

Grant was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to fish, golf, cutter horse race, and farm.

Grant faithfully served his country in the Army for a few years before starting his working career at EA Miller and eventually retired from Morton Thiokol. After retiring he briefly worked for Cache County School District. 

Grant was the friendly neighbor to everyone he met. He wasn’t afraid to stop by and help with hard work, or to just spend time visiting. 

Grant married Maurita Myers Rawlins June 15th 1984. Grant immediately accepted Stefnie and Garry Holbrook as his own kids and taught them many life lessons and great characteristics that they continue to emulate today. 

Grant is preceded in death by his parents and older sister, Glenda Cutler. He is survived in death by his loving wife Maurita Rawlins, and his children, Stefnie (Evan) Tinney, Garry (Rachelle) Holbrook and his brothers Byron (Coleen) Rawlins, Kay Rawlins, and his sister Shirlene Rawlins. He is also survived by his 10 grandkids and 3 great-grandkids. 

The funeral services for Grant will be a viewing Monday, Dec. 2nd from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at White Pine Funeral Services 753 S. 100 E. Logan, Utah 84321. There will be another, short viewing at the 4th Ward Paradise Church,155 East 9400 South Paradise UT on Tuesday, December 3rd from 10:00-11:30 a.m with the funeral starting at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow the services at the Paradise Cemetery.
