Joey Lynn, age 41 of Nibley, Utah passed away on April 26, 2024 at her home in Nibley. Our beautiful Joey was born on April 6, 1983, in Logan, Utah. She was beautiful with white gold shiny hair and the biggest blue eyes you had ever seen. She was a happy baby almost all the time, sweet and lovey! She loved her two sisters and they adored her. They would all play together every day and would pretend they were her mothers. She also loved school and passed all her grades through high school. She even graduated as the valedictorian her senior year.
Joey met a man that she loved and had her stunning daughter, TaLeigha. All of Joey's adulthood has been filled with turmoil, disappointment, and addiction. it was during this she had her beautiful baby boy, Daxton. Shortly after he was born, her struggles became so much apart of her life and choices. Those choices lead to harsh consequences which lead to a downward spiral for many years.
She had just recently found God and started getting her life back on track. She had a good relationship with her children and her grandson, Sayd. She had a roof over her head, a good job, and had found a man that she adored, and he was crazy about her.
Joey had expressed a desire to be baptized and had sent her mom a scripture that contains more meaning now that she has passed. Regarding this scripture, 1 Corinthians 16: 6-11, Joey said that she would like to stay the winter if the Lord permits, because a great door for effective work has opened to me. For He is carrying on the work of the Lord, just as I am.
We know where she is, although she will always be loved and missed, her family takes comfort in knowing her struggles are over. She is home.
We love Joey with all of our hearts, and have done so since the day she was born. Our hearts physically ache and the hurt goes to every inch of our bodies, but for her, we have pushed through it. She deserves that.
Joey is preceded in death by her sister, Andi Kim, her dad, Shawn Lawlor, and many grandparents.
She is survived by her daughter, TaLeigha Rodriguez, son, Daxton Childers, grandson, Sayd Lynn, Mom, DeLaine Lawlor, sister, Brandi Draper (Bo), and many other family members that loved her dearly.
