Kent Arnold Arnett passed away on August 27, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of kindness. Kent was born on January 8, 1941, in Salt Lake City, UT, to his loving parents, Arnold Arnett and Norma Aller. Alongside his brothers Ronald and Wayne, Kent grew up cherishing the vast landscapes of Montana, particularly the majestic mountains that surrounded him. The outdoors held a special place in his heart, and he delighted in sharing stories from his time on the ranch.
Kent's career path led him to the bustling world of finance, where he dedicated the majority of his life to the banking industry. His expertise and meticulous nature made him an invaluable asset as he navigated various roles throughout his professional journey. Eventually, Kent transitioned into the role of Compliance Officer in a Mutual Fund.
Not only was Kent known for his outstanding professional achievements, but also for his willingness to lend a helping hand. He possessed an exceptional capacity for empathy and had a keen eye for identifying opportunities to serve others. His acts of kindness touched many lives and served as an inspiration to those fortunate enough to know him.
After serving a mission in Mexico for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Brigham Young University. Determined to further expand his horizons, Kent went on to attain a Master's degree in Business Administration from Indiana University.
In addition to his career and academic pursuits, Kent found joy and contentment through building strong familial bonds. He was blessed with the unwavering love and companionship of Nancy Kublie. They were married in the Salt Lake City Temple in 1972. Their marriage was built upon shared values and mutual support that provided a foundation of strength throughout their years together.
Kent's daughter, Elise Griffin, held a special place in his heart. Their bond was unbreakable, and Kent took immense pride in watching her grow into the remarkable person she became. He also experienced the immeasurable joy of being a grandfather to Madison and Boston, who showered him with youthful energy and love.
Kent leaves behind cherished memories and lessons learned that will forever be held dear by his surviving family and friends. His sister Vickie Arnett, brother Douglas Arnett, and son-in-law Cory Griffin, along with numerous extended family members and close friends, mourn the loss of a truly extraordinary individual.
To honor Kent's life, a graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Logan City Cemetery in Logan, UT. The ceremony will begin at 11:00 AM, providing an opportunity for loved ones to come together to reminisce on the beautiful moments shared with Kent.
Kent Arnold Arnett's legacy is one of compassion, dedication to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and unwavering integrity. His remarkable journey through life serves as an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we bid farewell to this exceptional soul, let us carry forward his spirit of kindness and service towards others. May he rest in eternal peace.
