Kent Jon Udy

Kent Jon Udy, age 73, of Providence, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

Kent was born on August 2, 1951, in Salmon, Idaho, the son of Lowell and Charlotte (Nordstrom) Udy.

He graduated from Utah State University in 1975, with a B.S. in Wildlife Biology. He retired from the USU, Office of Research, as The Supervisor of Laboratory Animal Research in December 2013, after 32 years of service.

Kent was a well known figure in his neighborhood, walking his beloved Golden Retrievers and always ready to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed hunting, listening to music, photography, and Friday afternoon beers with lifelong friends.

Kent is survived by his brother Joseph D. Udy, sister Jane U. Hoovestol, nephew Joshua L. Hoovestol and niece Sara J. Hoovestol.

A private service will be held in Idaho.
