Lynn Alan Jenson

June 26, 1950 — January 14, 2024

Millville, UT

Lynn Jenson finished all his chores and is headed home. Lynn passed away on January 14th, 2024.

Lynn was born on June 26, 1950, in Logan, UT to Milan Jenson and Thelma Barfuss Jenson. He spent his life in Millville working with his dad, brothers, Ronald and Loran, and Uncle Joe. His sister, Irene tried very hard to keep track of her younger brothers and keep them out of trouble. Sometimes successfully, sometimes not so much.

He could often be found working with horses or on a tractor somewhere. He went to school at Millville Elementary, Sky View High School and took some classes at USU. He found his best learning on the farm and at home.

Lynn met and married the girl next door, Gloria Dennis, in August of 1971. Lynn and Gloria worked and played together for almost 53 years. They had 3 sons, Rodney, Jeremy, and Tony, who kept Lynn and Gloria hopping. The boys were often recruited to help Lynn, Joe, and Loran with work.

Lynn loved to watch sports. His favorite team was any team his grandkids played on. He could be found most weekends in an arena somewhere. If he wasn’t watching a game live, he was watching it on tv. He loved to play softball on local leagues. He loved to hunt and if he wasn’t hunting, he was looking for deer. He took his binoculars everywhere. He loved being on a horse up the canyon even if cows had to be involved.

Lynn was fiercely proud of his family. He loved family gatherings like Christmas Eve parties and family reunions. If he knew you, he could talk for hours. He loved a great story and was in the center of a lot of them growing up. His parents taught Lynn the value of a job well-done. Aside from working on the farm all his life, he also worked at Chevron Service station, Home & Gas, Wurlitzers, and retired from Vulcraft after over 30 years.

Lynn is survived by his wife, Gloria, his 3 sons, Rodney (Lindy), Jeremy (Jennie) and Tony (Kerstin). His 6 grandchildren: Becca, Megan, Chayden, Tate, Tyler and Milan. His siblings, Ronald (Robyn) Jenson, Irene (Ray) Jorgensen and Loran (Tammi) Jenson, many loved nieces, nephews and ‘adopted’ families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milan and Thelma, cousin Verner Lewis, father-in-law, Jeremiah Dennis and his Uncle Joe.

There will be a viewing on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at White Pine Mortuary, 753 S 100 E, Logan, Utah.  Lynn's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at the Millville 5th Ward church house, 110 S Main St, Millville, Utah.  An additional viewing will be held prior to the funeral service from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church.  The interment will be at the Millville Cemetery, approx. 310 E 100 N Millville, UT.
