Marilee Ann Fiagle

August 20, 1943 — February 10, 2024

Providence, UT

Marilee Ann Fiagle, of Providence, Utah, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on February 10, 2024, at the age of 80 after battling Parkinson's Disease. Marilee was born to Henry and May Henrichs on August 20, 1943, in Moline, IL.

Marilee grew up on a farm in Port Byron, IL. She had a fondness for animals, especially stray cats. Marilee always wanted a horse but never got one, so she and her sister would ride their pet cows. She had a pond by her house that she would swim in in the summer (even with snapping turtles!), and she would skate on it during the winter. Marilee attended 4-H, got blue ribbons for the high and standing high jumps, and graduated from Riverdale High School.

Marilee met Gerald (Gerry) on a blind date during her senior year in high school. They married in the Calgary Lutheran Church on June 17, 1961, in Moline, IL. Gerry was the love of her life. After getting married, they lived in Moline, where Marilee worked as a secretary for the Barbara Coleman Company.

Marilee and Gerry joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1964 and were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 29, 1965. They moved to Providence, Utah, in 1970. Marilee was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. With a strong testimony, she faithfully served in various Ward callings. She loved being Relief Society President, but being a Relief Society teacher was one of her favorite callings.

In Logan, Marilee worked at Bourns, but her biggest job was raising nine children. She was a good mother, loving and caring for her children's well-being. She sacrificed a lot for them. Marilee enjoyed attending the Temple. She loved to read and belonged to a book club for many years. When she developed Parkinson's, she participated in a boxing class to help with her Parkinson's and loved the friendships she made there. She will be sorely missed. Love you, Mom!

Marilee is survived by her children: Christopher Fiagle, Peter (Janette) Fiagle, Jennifer Fiagle, James (Kari) Fiagle, Jeremy Fiagle, Heather (Kevin) Bergsjo, Amanda (Matt) Coombs, Shawn (Emily) Fiagle, Stuart Haslam; 29 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; her sisters Janice (Leonard) Schwenneker, and Norma Butler. Marilee was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Elsie May, daughter Stephanie Haslam, husband Gerald, and granddaughter Stacie.

A Celebration of life will be held at White Pine Funeral Home, 753 S 100 E, Logan, Utah on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 2:00 PM. A viewing will be held prior to the celebration from 12:00 to 1:30 PM. The interment will be at the Providence Cemetery.
