Maurita Myers Rawlins

Maurita Myers Rawlins, (74) passed away surrounded by family members on Thursday January 23, 2025. Maurita was born on January 23, 1951 to John Fuller Myers and Mary Griffith Myers. Maurita graduated from Davis High School and later became a nurse. February 11, 1967  she married Richard Holbrook and had three children. Stefnie, Paul and Garry. They later divorced and she later married her eternal companion, Grant Leroy Rawlins June 15, 1984. The couple made their home and raised their family in Paradise, Utah. For over 30 years Maurita blessed many people as a nurse. Maurita retired from nursing in 2002 to be a care taker for her mother. After her mother passed Maurita continued to look for ways to serve by volunteering for Meals on Wheels, and in the Humanitarian Center for the Hyrum Utah Stake, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 

Maurita is survived by her children, Stefnie (Evan) Tinney, Garry (Rachelle) Holbrook 10 grandchildren, Kenneth and Stefan Shwaery; Morgan, Gabriel and Elijah Tinney; Rebekah, Christopher, Joseph, Kipplyn and Hannah Holbrook; and 3 great grandchildren, Novah, Nahla and Kyrie Shwaery; her three brothers, Ned Myers, Mark Myers and Kirk Myers. She also leaves behind many loving niece, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Grant Rawlins, her parents, son Paul Holbrook, and older brother, Scott Myers. 

A funeral service will be held January 31, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. at at the Paradise 4th Ward Church, 155 East 9400 South Paradise, UT. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:00-11:30 A.M. at the church. The interment will be held at Paradise Cemetery.
