Mondell E. Knowles, 81, passed away on April 19, 2022 in his home surrounded by loved ones.
Mondell was born May 20,1940 to Connie & Edward Knowles and grew up in Millville, Utah. He was the only boy of 4 children. He enjoyed running the family farm with his Dad.
Mondell graduated from South Cache High School & Seminary. He served in the SouthWest Indian Mission from 1961-1963 for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Due to this, he had a lifelong love for his Navajo friends.
He married Ilene Richman on February 17,1967 in the Logan LDS temple. Together they had 3 children.
He was a member of the Millville 3rd Ward & served faithfully in many callings including ward clerk.
He worked for Logan City and Thikol Fire Departments along with the family farm. He enjoyed horses, snowmobiling, four-wheeling and most of all his grandkids.
Mondell is survived by two daughters. Camille (Brian) David of Millville & Rochelle (Jeff) Strate of Smithfield. A daughter-in-law, Tammie Echols Knowles of Millville. Two sisters; Karla (Jerry) Rogers & Faye (Dave) Burton, 11 grandkids and many treasured friends.
Upon his passing, he was lovingly reunited with his wife Ilene, son Kyle, parents Connie & Edward Knowles and sister Charlene Mathews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 in the Millville 3rd Ward Chapel, 110 South Main in Millville. A viewing will be held on Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at White Pine Funeral Services, 753 South 100 East in Logan, and prior to the services on Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the church.
