Sheryl Hubbard

August 13, 1946 — February 27, 2024

Logan, Utah

Sheryl Hubbard passed away at the age of 77 surrounded by loving friends and family on February 27, 2024 from cancer.

Sheryl was born August 13, 1946 in Soda Springs, Idaho to Merrill and Shirley Hubbard. She was the oldest of eight children. She is survived by three sisters Pamela Ahlmer of Ogden UT, Barbara Hansen of Weldon Spring MO, Terese Lowe of Rupert ID and beloved friend and roommate Deann Firth of Logan UT, as well as four brothers James Hubbard of Grace ID, Mark Hubbard of Chopin South Carolina, Scott Hubbard of Smithfield, UT and Matthew Hubbard of Bardstown, KY.

She was raised on a dairy farm located east of Grace and as the oldest learned to work at a young age. Sheryl helped milk cows, feed calves, move sprinkler pipe, raked and stacked hay, etc. She liked to go on family hikes and picnics and especially loved to go huckleberry picking.

After graduating from Grace High School, she attended Rick’s College and BYU before being called to serve a mission for “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints” in the Columbus, Ohio Mission. Sheryl loved being a missionary and had success in teaching the gospel to many wonderful people. She served as the first sister missionary in that mission. After Sheryl returned home she worked at the Logan Hospital as a Nurse’s aide and lived in Logan, UT. Sheryl worked several jobs mostly in the food service industry where people loved her cheery smile and happy hello. As family, we loved dropping in to visit Sheryl at work to get a hug and a treat! Her many nephews and nieces have great memories of visiting her at work!

Sheryl had great faith in her Heavenly Father throughout her life. She loved attending the temple and doing temple work. She was always a loyal friend and very accepting of others.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 6th, at 11:00 AM at White Pine Funeral 753 South 100 East in Logan, UT. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Wednesday morning prior to the services from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Interment will be in the Grace, Idaho Cemetery.
