Trevor Dean Mabey

Trevor Dean Mabey passed away from a tragic vehicle accident on March 21, 2023. Trevor was born September 21, 1994 in Logan, Utah to Christopher and Trina Mabey. He spent his early childhood in Hyrum, Utah, before moving to Elko and Spring Creek, Nevada, then to Parker, Colorado, before returning to Hyrum.

Trevor graduated from Legend High School in Parker where he was a member of the Rugby team and the Performing Men’s choir. He attended Utah State University and later Bridgerland Technical College where he earned his Journeyman’s license for plumbing.

On December 13, 2019, he married the love of his life, Kortnie Lee Petersen. Together they were blessed with a son, Gunnar.

Trevor was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He previously worked at Conservice and was currently working for Larsen Plumbing & Heating.

Trevor enjoyed gaming, computers, hunting and shooting, cooking, camping and sports. His greatest joy came from spending time with his immediate and extended family. Trevor was an adoring husband and father. His primary focus in life was to take care of their needs. He was amazingly kind, loving and intelligent. He loved to tease and challenge his siblings. He brought laughter and joy to those around him.

Trevor is survived by his wife, Kortnie and son, Gunnar; parents, Chris and Trina of Hyrum, Utah; parents-in-law, Mark and Tonya Petersen of Nibley, Utah, brothers Bryson (Taylor) of Providence, Utah, Tanner and Parker Mabey and sister, Sydnee Mabey of Hyrum, Utah; grandmothers, Marge Mabey of Logan, Utah, and Afton Jensen of Hyrum, Utah; niece, Torvi and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Trevor was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Mabey and Raymond Dorian Jensen.

Trevor’s time with us was too short. He will be greatly missed by all those who loved and admired him.

A funeral service will be held in his honor on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 12:00 noon at White Pine Funeral Servies, 753 S 100 E Logan. A visitation will be held prior from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. Interment at Hyrum Cemetery.
