It is with profound sorrow, yet also with boundless gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the departure of Veronica Vela, a supportive mother, loving wife, resilient warrior, and funny soul, who left this world on July 19, 2023. Born on August 27, 1971, Veronica brightened the world with her grace, strength, and love for 51 beautiful years.
Veronica was the embodiment of courage and humility. For a decade, she bravely battled cancer, her resilience an inspiration to all who knew her. Her faith in God never wavered, echoing the words of Philippians 4:13, "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." Veronica was a beacon of light in her community and brought joy to many children as a school bus driver in Los Angeles, California and Logan, Utah. Though she had previously resided in Los Angeles, California, her heart always found a home wherever her beloved family was.
Veronica’s legacy of love and indomitable spirit lives on in her mother, Maria Arceo, her husband, Walter Vela, and her loving children, Ammy, Julian, Jaime, Abraham, and Andrew. She also leaves behind a vibrant tapestry of memories with her grandchildren: Selena, Jacob, Joseph, Carolina, Veronica, and Ayden. Veronica was preceded in death by her father, Filiberto Arceo, whose memories remain etched in her life and ours.
The family invites you to join them in honoring Veronica’s life at White Pine Funeral Services, 753 South 100 East, Logan, Utah, 84321. A public viewing will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
In memory of Veronica, we encourage everyone to visit her memorial page. You are invited to leave your cherished memories, stories, and upload photos to celebrate the life of this extraordinary woman. Veronica’s spirit, strength, and love for life will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
